   Directed Studies (September 2005- May 2006).  Research and plan a sustainable community wide

   greenway system.  The study concluded with a presentation of our final paper to the EPA.

                                         Trail Planner & Program Director (December 2010- Present). Plan new trails and maintain existing     

                                 trails. Direct multiple programs and committees such as Smart Commute TC, Trails Safety Operations &   

                                 Maintenance and youth bicycle and pedestrian safety and education.  


                                GRAND TRAVERSE REGIONAL LAND CONSERVANCY: Traverse City, Michigan

                                Asst. Volunteer Program Coordinator & Engagement Specialist (June 2009- Present).  Development of

                                Volunteer Colleague Program online communication tools and database. Designer and contributing editor

                                of newsletter and public relations material.  Merchandise manager. Community events coordinator.  

 

                                      ENVIRONMENT, SOCIETY & DESIGN DIVISION: Lincoln & Waitaki Valley, New Zealand

  Summer Studentship (November 2007- February 2008). Published longitudinal annotated bibliography on

  social effects due to land use change and development in the Waitaki Valley.  Continued assistance on

  conference presentation, paper and journal article publications related to summer studentship work.

 

  STUART RACING: Loburn, New Zealand

  Stable Coordinator (January 2008- July 2008). Maintained barn with 30 horses at Loburn Race Track.                                                                                                          

  Fed, watered, washed, groomed, geared, turned in and out 2 year old horses and yearlings.   

  Handled horses pre and post work-outs and races.  Operated grain processor and maintained gear.

                          Marketing Coordinator & Center Staff (August 2006- May 2007). 

                               Designed and presented promotional material, coordinated marketing events. Registered customers on

                               outdoor adventure trips. Sold outdoor recreation merchandise and maintatined rental equipment.

   Student Worker (October 2004- May 2007).  Researched TAMU and RPTS related Institute websites.

   Created excel Spreadsheets based on research.  Designed and maintained bulletin board, createded,

   posted and rotated flyers on bulletin board.  Insert data from surveys into databases.  Assist with

   management of two graduate seminars.


   ROMANIK'S RANCH: Levering, Michigan

   Tour Operator (May 2005- August 2005).  Interpreter of local wildlife, ranch animals as well as native      

   trees and shrubs to visitors.  Maintained and operated a tractor to provide multiple daily wagon tours

   of up to 40 visitors each. 


   BIG BEAR ADVENTURES CANOE LIVERY: Indian River, MI

   Outdoor Recreation Activity Advisor (June 2004- August 2004).  Supervised six employees. Advised    

   customers on appropriate river trips according to their needs, made contracts, collected payments and

   maintained the store, equipment and grounds.


   BISHOP PARK RECREATION DEPARTMENT: Athens, GA

   Lifeguard & Swim Lesson Instructor (May 2002- August 2002).  First aid certified. Lifeguard and swim

   instructor for beginner swimmers who ranged from age one to seven, worked with summer camp for

   people with disabilities, cleaned pool and restrooms.
